On the occasion of the 154th birthday of Father of the Nation Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, a special prayer meeting was organized at Barrackpore Gandhi Ghat like every year. West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose, State Food Minister Rathin Ghosh, State Chief Secretary Hare Krishna Trivedi along with District Magistrates and Sub-Divisional Magistrates and other dignitaries participated in the prayer meeting.
The dignitaries present along with the Governor laid wreaths at Gandhiji's memorial amid Gandhiji's favorite Ramdhanu Sangeet.
In the presence of the media, the governor said about Trinamool's trip to Delhi, 'Sabko sanmati de bhagwaan'.Following the same path, State Food Minister Rathin Ghosh said today is Gandhiji's day.
